He once explained to me to me how he did it. I still didn't understand. Four amps, wobbled by he and producer Jon Porter. Bo Diddley vibe (working title was "The Swamp") Knives as plectrums on the later song.
The intro IS the song. Then again, Johnny Marr is a genius. IMHO. Even if he's Man City.
